Some questions we get asked regularly...
Yes we are. We hold the highest license rating (5 Stars) from the Council. This means that Monki Dog Land has been inspected and that we have been thoroughly assessed. Our day care centre is safe for all dogs, is fully fenced, has heating, water and electricity. The Council audit our operating procedures and are continuously checking we are safe.
It is important for your puppy’s bone and muscle development, that they are not moving all day whilst at day care. We ensure that all puppies have down time in our cosy home from home cabins.
We do separate the dogs, this is done by size but also by energy levels and robustness. We also ensure that we mix the dogs once they have expended their energy, this is so that dogs of different shapes and sizes get to meet, as this is vital for their socialisation, especially for puppies. We are constantly supervising the dogs.
Unfortunately we do not offer this service at the moment.
We are happy to work with dogs that need further development, infact we expect that, as all dogs can develop in some way. We are very professional and will provide you with constructive feedback and training plans as appropriate.
We do not accept dogs that are aggressive or unsafe and we do not accept excessive barkers.
Yes, we love to show off our doggy paradise.
You will need to keep all your vaccinations in date and will also need to have your dog vaccinated for Kennel Cough as this can be dangerous for puppies. We will need to take copies (a photo) of your vaccination certificates and we will ask you each year for the up to date certificates.
In general, we can take your puppy after they have all their vaccinations, which is usually around 12-14 weeks old. However, this depends on your puppy’s confidence levels. We have had many dogs start with us at 12-14 weeks old, that have benefitted greatly from our guidance. We have a puppy section and we ensure that the puppies have positive experiences.
No you don’t. We take a key for access so we can collect and drop your dog off without you having to worry about being home. We have received professional key holding advice.
